After leaving Dinosaur National Monument in Colorado we headed up north into Wyoming for the first of many times this summer. When we first got there we had no idea how much we’d end up doing in the state, but more on that later.

After leaving the Capitol Reef area we moved a little further north, once again looking for a place to spend our last few days with Karissa and Linhbergh. On our way to our destination, we stopped at a shallow and cool creek to take a dip and escape the heat, if even for just a few mins.

At the end of Episode 1 we were in Capitol Reef National Park. We then made our way to this special spot outside the park for a few days to sit still and wait for our last party to arrive!

Each week I will be posting a blog post to accompany the video so we can share some behind the scenes photos from each episode and I can write a little more in-depth about our experiences! First up, episode one: Leaving Quarantine.

It’s hard to believe that we’re about to say goodbye to 2019 and start a new decade! At the end of every year, Owen and I like to take some time and each pull our five favorite photos from the year. Without further ado, here they are!

Hey guys! After leaving Buena Vista, Colorado it was officially time for us to start migrating towards Vegas over the next month. Owen did an amazing job of picking an adventurous route to get us there. Our first leg of the journey was the Rimrocker Trail.

Hey Friends! We’re back from the John Muir Trail and forever changed for the better! Over the next few weeks we’re going to roll out some blog posts containing photos paired with select days from my written journal from on the trail, and video daily logs that we recorded on trail. The month starts off with us leaving Joshua Tree NP, CA and headed out towards the coast. A friend of our who we had been with that weekend gave us a call to tell us that he came across one of the last sections of the super bloom out by his friends house in a residential area and that we should check it out.

Owen and I will be carrying separate systems for the trail to be sure that we’re capturing our experience to the best of our ability without duplicating anything or overloading ourselves with unnecessary gear.

As always welcome back! It’s hard to believe that this is the last post documenting 2018. It was one hell of a year for us and it felt good starting the last month of the year off by finding some warmer weather in some familiar places.

Hey friends, welcome back to our November on the road! After a summer/fall of constant movement, in November things started to slow down for us and it was a welcome change of pace.

The beginning of the month looking back feels like a blur of work all day and working out way west in the evenings. By now fall was in full swing and the weather was starting to be cold and rainy more consistently.

The first day of September was an exiting one for us, because we were heading to Gros Morne National Park! A park that we’ve long dreamed of seeing with our own two eyes.

Last we left off we were outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia. When we wrapped up there we made hastily made our way to Cape Breton Highlands National Park!

As 2018 draws to a close it’s time for our annual post highlighting our favorite photos of the year. Without further ado we present to you 2018 in photos (and words).

Our first night of the month Owen and I decided to finally catch a sunset from the top of Cadillac mountain. Despite the fact that we had been in the park for a whole week we managed to save this increadible view for last.

I didn’t realize how hard good internet was going to be to find for the last few weeks! Better late than never, lets pick up where we left off as we were leaving Pennsylvania!
