Wildlife in Wild Baja

Hello everyone, we’re super excited to share this new video with you all. Earlier this year we spent a little over a month in Baja. While down there we had no intention of making a video, however we did find ourselves organically collecting footage when we felt inspired. The result was some landscapes and camp life and A LOT of wildlife. Turns out, that’s what inspires us most. With all that footage we decided to make this video that pays homage to the wild world. We hope you enjoy.

While down in Mexico we often find ourselves sitting outside taking in the world around us. That time to simply observe is a luxury we rarely give ourselves otherwise. The result is a rediscovered love of animals, plant life, history and geology.

A small collection of photos from Baja California Norte above. We spent time in several areas on both the Pacific and Gulf of California coasts.

After spending a few weeks up north, we made our way further south into Baja California Sur. Down there, we found ourselves on remote and secluded beaches (and some popular ones too). We saw tons of birds and whales and did our best to document them!

A group of photos from some of our time in Baja California Sur. We found ourselves on white sand beaches, deep in the inland desert and even in a beautiful oasis.

At one of our camps in Baja California Sur we noticed a gull with a strange mutation. We made note of it and tried to look it up without any success. A month or so later though, someone reached out to us and helped us solve the mystery! A section of the video at the top covers this so please do check it out.

The gull with a mutation we had never seen before. We get to the bottom of this in the video at the top of this blog!

If you find yourself in Baja, remember to take some time to enjoy the world around you. Yes, the tacos and the people are amazing, but the wildlife and natural world is just as good! We hope you enjoyed this quick look back on our trip and the video. See you down the road!
